Back from a long hiatus
Last night was Maren’s first night (in 20 weeks) when we didn’t have to get up and feed her, or reseat her pacifier or change her. We had always heard this day would come and there it was, out of the blue.
It wasn’t quite an overnight thing though, we knew we were right on the cusp. Over the past week, we’ve seen her stomach get bigger (she was taking in more milk) but at the same time, she was needing much more attention during the night, waking up almost every hour and realizing her pacifier was gone. Because of that, I wouldn’t feed her unless reseating the pacifier didn’t work.
And then two nights ago, she didn’t need any food at all which made us very excited. We’ll see if this continues, but it was nice for at least one night to wake up and realize it was 6:30 am rather than 1:30.
